Had dinner with friends tonight and the kids had a chance to play and then watch a movie.

Aug 30th

Carson met his 1st grade teacher Mrs. Thompson today and had a chance to explore the classroom!

Aug 29th

This evening Carson's 1st grade class met up at the park for an ice cream social. Somehow Carson managed to get his feet so dirty they were nearly black! Even after a shower and much scrubbing I still could not get his feet totally clean. Although I would say my picture shows them to be pretty clean.

Aug 28th

I had all these grande plans to get things done today but we got stuck at the Kia dealership for 2 1/2 hours for an oil change. Apparently they didn't have the right oil filter for our car so they had to wait for one to be delivered. The bright side of this was that they gave me my oil change for free! And we had company for part our stay so that helped pass the time. Downside is I didn't pack enough snacks for C and I so he was starving and I started to feel unwell I was so hungry. We did squeeze in a couple stores after we got some lunch but I still felt unwell so we came home to rest. After dinner C wanted to go candle pin bowling so we did that and then C and Aaron had a ski ball battle in the arcade. C ended up getting a high score to win the jackpot of all points (which are equivalent to tickets like at Chick E Cheese).

Aug 27th

After our long weekend of fun I thought today was going to be relaxing but it was yet another busy day. C and I ran to Costco this morning then came back home intending to rest but as soon as I got home I realized I forgot to pick up photos I had developed at Costco. So we had to run back to Costco to grab them then stopped by the park to play after. After the park we ran home to get ready to go swimming at the pool but upon arrival at the pool we saw that they were closed for maintenance and ended back at the park. To get in some water play we did set up our slip n slide for a little while before dinner!

Aug 25th

Early this morning we drove up to NH to explore the Squam Lakes region and then go to Storyland (which is a small amusement park based on storybook characters).  We got to explore a lot of nature and did a lot of walking about Storyland.

Aug 24th

Today was another busy summer day. Right after lunch I took Carson and his neighbor friend Andrew to the pool for a couple hours. Then we went to a sing a long at the library. And to end the night we had some friends over for dinner.

Aug 23rd

Today was a cleaning kind of day. I vacuumed the car out and then cleaned house until I was too tired to do more. Not too bad considering I only have 3 weeks and 1 day until my due date.

Aug 22nd

Carson and I spent the day at the Boston Children's Museum. Carson had fun building, playing with bubbles, and playing in the sand and water area. After dinner we went and learned fun frisbee tricks from a world champion! After a little show and lecture we were able to grab frisbees and go outside to practice what we had learned.

Aug 21st

Had my 36 week ultrasound today! Baby Enes is somewhere in the 5 lb range with an estimated birth weight of 6.5 to 7.5 lbs. One picture is a profile of his face and looks as though he is blowing a bubble with his lips but the bubble is actually the umbilical cord. The other picture is a frontal face view. In the upper left hand corner is his hand by his face and you should be able to make out his eyes, nose, and mouth-which are slightly creepy dark holes. :-)

Aug 20th

Eileen and Carson in matching outfits! The kids dressed themselves this morning and had no contact with one another until the park outing.

It was a beautiful day at the beach!

Spent the day at the Boston Science Museum.

Tonight Carson met some fellow Thoreau students at the playground!

Aug 16th

The library played The Lorax tonight so Carson (who has already seen this movie) decided I should finally watch it.

Working on some artwork outside with nature!

Spent the morning/afternoon at the playground and playing in the fountain!

Aug 13th

Today was the first day in over a half a year that Carson and I got to sleep in! Sleeping in for us is waking at 8 am but it was enough to rejuvenate our bodies. We had a semi lazy day washing baby clothes and getting baby things organized then we spent the afternoon at Walden Pond cooling off yet again.

Aug 12th

Today we did some school shopping and then Carson went to his friend Teddy's 7th Birthday party!

Aug 11th

Spent the day at Coco Keys indoor water park. It was a perfect day to be inside as it poured rain all day!

Aug 10th

Today was Carson's last day of soccer camp.  They had their own opening olympic ceremonies along with olympic challenges and games.  (Carson is in the line farther away from me; wearing sunglasses)

Carson's hermit crabs decided to play while we were cleaning out their tank.

Aug 7th

Carson got camper of the day at Soccer camp! He received a special bag and then later in the day we went to a local lake (they are called ponds here) to cool off.

Today was Carson's 1st day of soccer camp!

Aug 5th

Today was my baby shower. My great friend Jenny did so much work to make sure this event was so special! After the baby shower we had a farewell dinner for our North Carolina friends. I am sure they are excited to get home from their vacation but we will miss them terribly!

Aug 4th

Today PJ and Aaron went to the Sam Adams brewery for a tour. While the guys did the tour Carson, Noah, and Ethan went to Eileen's 6th Birthday party.

Aug 3rd

Today we made a day trip up to Maine.  We of course had to get some tasty lobster and then we ventured to Cape Elizabeth to see the most photographed lighthouse (in the world?).
