Mar 30th

Had a chance to relax this afternoon after classes. I really needed it after this last week. Tomorrow is Thoreau Family Festival day (at Carson's school) so we are baking cakes for the cake walk and Carson and his friend are decorating a 'cake' for a contest. The boys are in the initial stages now so I will post a picture tomorrow of their work of art.

Mar 29th

Visited my midwife today. She moved into a brand new building that is full of technology. There were touch screens everywhere and the bathrooms were all touch free stuff. I felt like I was in the future. The baby is super strong. I felt the first kick at 14 weeks 2 days which is super early in comparison to my pregnancy with Carson. I am worried about my ribs later though because this baby is already much more active than Carson was and he was my little gymnast and boxer. I go in for an ultrasound on Apr 19th to find out whether we are having a boy or girl. I just hope he/she cooperates especially the way he/she was kicking the midwife today with all her probes. Now to get some rest for my last exam of the week which is tomorrow. I am so exhausted from this week so I am looking forward to the weekend!

Carson lost his 1st tooth this morning!

Mar 27th

1 exam down today! To celebrate Carson and I went to our favorite ice cream shop in Concord. As you can see from Carson our temps dropped from last week's 80 degrees. This week we are back in winter gear to fight off the cold.

Tomorrow I have a quiz and a rough draft of a term paper due. At least after tomorrow I am half way done with my work and week.

You are going to get tired of my pages of notes and books but this is our life this week. Studying hard again--1st exam of the week is tomorrow!

Mar 25th

Today was just like yesterday for me at my desk studying. The only difference was the addition of the heater. It was 80 degrees last week and today we are only in the 40's so it feels freezing cold!

Mar 24th

The scenery for me today looked just like the picture. I tried to get away from the desk even if it was just to grab a snack or refill my water but I was stuck studying for about 10 hours. With only 6 weeks left of classes I am counting down to a much needed break!

Mar 23rd

It's Friday night (TGIF)! Carson had a friend over for movie night so while they watched a movie I focused on school work. I am hoping to finish my rough draft of my term paper by tomorrow then I start memorizing taxonomy for 2 exams next week!

Mar 22nd

Carson's 2 bottom middle teeth are very loose. We just noticed he had the 2 wiggly teeth this morning when he complained his teeth hurt. They must have been wiggly for some time because they are close to falling out. And upon inspecting the loose teeth I noticed something funny in the back of his mouth. Sure enough his very back molars are coming in. The one on his right (left in the picture) is pretty much through but his gums on his left are just really swollen. This officially makes our little guy a big boy!!

I got to play with a spectrophotometer today that is older than any professor that teaches at FSU.  Not sure how it is not in some museum as a relic!

It was another warm day today but I was stuck inside at school. I did get out of lab early today so Carson played outside with a neighbor friend.

Mar 19th

The highlight of my busy day--a new 2 in 1 garbage can with recycling bin!  It is a touchless can so with just a wave of our hand we can open the lid to throw out trash or our recyclables.  I love organization!!

Mar 18th

Our nice weather continues!  It was almost 80 out today so we went and played at the park.  I tried to finish up some last minute school work as my spring break ends today and I have exams and a quiz coming up this week and next.   I managed to do this while soaking up some rays!

Mar 17th

Today we took a little while out of our busy schedule and visited the Dr. Seuss museum in Springfield, Mass.  This museum actually has 5 museums in 1 place.  Carson's favorite was the Hasbro game museum where every game you played as a child was blown up on a huge scale and could be played.  Carson also really loved the Dr. Seuss sculpture garden.  A tornado tore through this town less than a year ago so it was interesting to drive through the town and still see them picking up the pieces.  I have never seen a town after a tornado has blown through.   

Mar 16th

Carson had swim lessons today. We started new semi private swim lessons at a new place a couple weeks ago. Carson wants more specific training so he can join a swim team this summer.

Mar 15th

The fun part of taking summer classes at school is determining which Camp to send Carson to. He will be splitting his time between art camp, gymnastics camp, and a Concord recreation camp.

My friend Jenny and I went out shopping today. With my crazy school schedule we do this rarely. With my belly growing by the day though I need to find some maternity clothes. Jenny's daughter Anna came along to help us shop. She is just under 2 and already LOVES to shop.

It was even nicer out today than it was yesterday so we spent the afternoon at the park! The picture is of Carson and his friend Andrew walking home from the park.

Today was a beautiful day outside! We reached the 70's today so we spent as much time outside as possible.

Big news to share!! Carson is going to be a big brother somewhere around September 17th 2012!

Mar 10th

Today was a lazy day around here.  Carson played with his friend all afternoon, Aaron went into work for a while to get a few last minute things done on a project due tomorrow, and I did nothing but relax.  It was really great.  I should have taken a picture of this evening but I didn't.  We had dinner with friends at an Italian restaurant and then went to the local ice cream shop for treats.  For today I am going to post the video of Carson skiing last night.  This was only after an hour or so on his skis.  And this was his first time ever on skis.  I am still impressed at how well he did without any lessons of any kind, just a few key suggestions from a friend and myself to help guide Carson.

Mar 9th

Carson and I went skiing today with a friend who came up from Atlanta. 

This was Carson's first time on skis but within a couple hours he was skiing like a pro! 

I have a video to upload too so I will get that uploaded Saturday.

Went to Boston tonight to eat dinner with our friend Heather from Atlanta!

Mar 7th

I have a Chemistry quiz tomorrow and a Biology exam Friday. After the last week I might just sleep my spring break away!

Mar 6th

Carson keeps having a spike in his fevers. He has never had this kind of fever for this amount of time before. Hopefully we can get it down in the next hour or there might be an ER trip tonight. If it does come down he will still be visiting the dr to try to determine what is causing this.

Mar 5th

Carson tried to go to school today but he developed a fever so I had to pick him up. He had to come with me to school this afternoon as I had a presentation but then we came home so he could get some much needed rest. I hope he gets better soon!

Carson got a much needed haircut today! He was looking pretty shaggy!

Mar 3rd

Since Carson was feeling unwell Thursday he did a make up class for gymnastics. This was show week where they show off what they have been learning.

Mar 2nd

Carson is still feeling under the weather today but he managed to start his new Buddy swim lessons with our close friend and got in a couple of games at his school's math night before it was too much and he was ready to come home and rest.

Carson is feeling much better today! I am so happy that the rare times he gets ill he always bounces back quickly! It snowed all day today. It finally looks like winter outside!
