How did I do that???

How is this possible that I have posted a slideshow before on the webpage yet now when I want to add another slideshow I can't?!? How did I do that? Surely I copy and pasted the url right? Maybe it is my computer because it won't let me copy and paste into this little compose thing. Hmmm....I am going to have to figure this one out. I can't even paste a link to the album...crazy blogger.

T Minus 3 days

Well this last weekend has been amazingly busy. This always seems to happen to us. We are always busy but we have had things going on since Thursday. Thursday we had a children's day at the High Museum. Friday I had a bachelorette party to attend (which was lots of fun but exhausting). Saturday we had a playgroup party at our house. Again fun but exhausting when you are entertaining 15 to 20 people including kids. Sunday we had a wedding to attend. It was an amazing wedding. Beautiful and simple. Carson gave Aaron and I a workout though on the dance floor. Carson has a natural talent for dancing that I didn't know he had but it all came out on the dance floor. He stole the show from the bride and groom which I felt bad about but not bad enough to drag him from the dance floor. And he spent a good portion dancing with the bride. I have pictures from all of our activities which I will post later on today. I am going to get caught up on everything as we will be headed to Idaho on Thursday. Did I mention it is going to be freezing there!! And a chance for SNOW...yes SNOW on Friday or Saturday! Yikes! Even with all this we are excited to see everyone in Idaho. And so the count down continues.

Birthday Party, Volleyball, and THE COUNTDOWN

Our week has been an interesting one. Carson and I have been on this roller coaster of not feeling well to feeling superb. We both finally went to the Dr and found out we somehow had a stomach bug. Somehow we got bacteria into our bellies (dr says from a swimming pool, undercooked meat, or something of that nature) and I have been making it worse for us by eating dairy and veggies galore! Of course after I cut out dairy and veggies from our diets which was very hard to do we are feeling much better. Our stomachs are catching up and kicking that bacteria out!

Carson's friend Gabo turned 3! Here are some pictures from his Pool Party!

Water Train! Choo Choo!

Eileen and Carson always a Duo!

Last Monday for Labor Day we had lots of fun at a friend's house. We ate great food and watched the kids play around the house and in the pool.

Then we had the Graduate Picnic at Georgia Tech which is always fun. Plus we got free food!

Then after that we were invited by friends to a Volleyball game. It was so much fun we went back the next day to watch them play again. Georgia Tech won both games, the 1st against Clemson and the 2nd against Ole Miss. Now we are on the countdown until we arrive in Idaho.

Waaay too busy!

Well I have way too many things going on this weekend and have been super busy this last week or so. Aaron just took Carson to Ikea so I am taking a couple of free minutes before we run off to a birthday party to catch up! (Forgive me for how this ends up....I have no clue how to format the pictures in the way I want them!)

First pictures are of Eillen and Carson at the High Museum. Every Thursday is art day where kids get a little map to find a piece of artwork that the day's activities are based around, they read a story, and also create a craft!

This is from the Redbull Soap Box Race! We had so much fun watching cars break apart and crash going down this course! One of my favorites was Cartman from Southpark on his TriCycle!

Playgroup Silliness!
Little Noah, Christianna, and Carson running around with the toy bins on their heads! Much more fun than the toys that were in them!

DragonCon Parade!
Well this parade was interesting to say the least. It was however tons of fun. I decided to post my favorites.

Start of the Parade

Space Balls

Maybe an idea for Halloween?

Frankenstein and his Bride

Ghost Busters!

Actor who played Incredible Hulk...he looks like a Hulk

There was tons of Star Wars Costumes:

Centennial Olympic Park Family Day

Last Saturday was a family fun day at Centennial Olympic Park. Although the whole activity wasn't too impressive there was still a few really neat things.

Playing with Legos:

Painting fun then a wash down in the fountains:

Inside the CNN Building where they were doing a promotion for the made for tv movie of Scooby Doo. Carson got to spin a wheel and won a color changing cup!

2nd Day at School

Carson had a wonderful second day at school yesterday. It doesn't seem possible that this is his first time in school. He jumps out of the car in the mornings with a huge smile on his face and comes back to the car in the afternoon the same way! We are so proud of him and we know he is going to do well in school. For today playgroup is on the menu at our house which is always fun. I have a craft planned for the kids which they always seem to love. Happy Thursday to everyone!

A Blessed Day

Today was a wonderful 1st day of School for Carson. He was even able to come home and tell me they sang a song about a whale, read a book about a little boy going to preschool, and he played with a green ball! I also talked to his teacher tonight and she said Carson was so cute in class today going around and comforting everyone and telling them to be brave. His little friend from playgroup didn't do so well at school today but Carson told me he did his best to help her be brave. Of course I was proud of him for doing his very best. This was a start every parent wishes, prays, and dreams for but not many get so I feel extremely blessed!

Carson's first day of school

Today is Carson's 1st day of school! We are very excited for him!! Aaron is in Chicago right now with our camera so these pictures were taken on our camcorder which explains the quality. Now I am off to drop Carson off at school for a fun day of learning.

Try Try Again

Well this is our second time starting a blog (let me revise that) Aaron started a blog forever ago when we moved to Atlanta however it wasn't as user friendly as blogspot makes it so it fell to the wayside. I have wanted to start a blog for a long time especially being a stay at home mom where I talk to a 3 year old all day. :) Seeing some friends and family start their blogs has refreshed this need to share my day to day activities, cute thing's Carson does that I don't always remember the next day, and of course sharing my newest passion for saving money with coupons!

I love anything that has to do with History and love scrapbooking although I haven't had much time for that lately (lately means the last 3 years!). However, I do hope to start scrapbooking every chance I get to make up for that lost time.

Being a stay at home mom isn't as simple as it sounds (as any other stay at home parent will attest to). I try to provide a home for Carson that encourages learning and exploration within a broad range of areas. People always ask me how I taught Carson a certain thing and I can't always tell them exactly what I did. I can tell them I don't make Carson sit in a chair for hours while I drill things into him. He just seems to soak things up as our day progresses (mostly through play, arts/crafts, outings, etc). I also run a very sucessful playgroup which again takes time and research but I love it! Having this playgroup has provided Carson with untold amounts of social skills and has also provided invaluable friendships for Aaron and I with other parents.

Welcome to our family blog! We hope you will enjoy hearing about our days!
