Although today was rainy still from bands of now tropical storm Sandy we had to get out of the house. So we went to an indoor bounce house to get some wiggles out.

Oct 29th

Hurricane Sandy blew in today trapping us indoors due to high winds and rain. It gave us a chance to have some family relaxing time though so that was nice.

Oct 28th

Today we had The Pumpkin Roll which was a charitable event with Halloween activities for the kids.  With Hurricane Sandy approaching New England though it turned out to be a wet and cold event where we ran through the activities so we could get home where it was dry and warm.  The boys did make it to the movie theater to go see Hotel Transylvania however, another dry and warm place.  The movie was fitting as Carson has chosen to be a vampire this year for Halloween!

Oct 27th

We went to a local farm today to pick pumpkins and apples.  We picked a bag of apples and then had an apple battle.  As you can see there was plenty of ammo as we are at the end of apple season!

It's official, Carson is going to start his first season of Hockey!

Oct 25th

Oliver had his 1 month old check up today. He weighs 10lbs 2oz and is 22 inches long!

Oct 24th

Tonight we were supposed to go Owl Banding but Carson developed a bad cold so he missed school and Aaron had to stay home from work while I went to my class and lab. Hopefully he will be back on his feet by this weekend.

Oct 23rd

Carson swam a ton of laps at swim lessons practicing every stroke. Carson is the head on the left.

Today Carson had a short day at school so we went to lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant and then stopped by the local sporting goods store to pick up his Boy Scout uniform.

Today was a super full day in the Enes household. Oliver and I had a new baby brunch in our town this morning. Carson had soccer practice and a game. I had a ton of homework. And Aaron had to get our humidifier hooked up to our furnace. Yes it is officially fall in New England so our heater is in full swing with the colder temperatures. This evening Aaron and I went to our friend's 40th birthday party! It was a great date night for us. (one of the photos has Aaron with some of the guys/our friends at the party)

It was Family night/Book fair night at Carson's school. We ate pizza, saw many friends, and bought some new & used books to enjoy at home.

Oct 11th

We braved the cold weather so Carson could meet with his friends at the park then we came inside and all bundled up on the bed to warm up!

Oct 10th

Tonight was Carson's first tiger cub scout meeting. The boys went over introductory things first then ended the night making a rain gutter boat that they will race next week during the all ages pack meeting!

Happy Columbus Day! 

To celebrate we visited the country's oldest agricultural fair-the Topsfield Fair!

I took Oliver to class with me again. Today we colored a picture which was a fun and memorable way to learn a genetics lesson!

Oct 3rd

Took Oliver to school today. Oliver got to learn genetics with me. He slept through everything of course. In lab we used liquid nitrogen to pop the heads off of fruit flies (this was done humanely-we anestisized them 1st), then squashed the heads and soaked them in a chemical to make them glow. We did this to observe the multiple genes present that produce a fruit fly's eye color.

As usual Oliver sleeps through everything...even Carson's swimming lessons!
