June 29th

Today we went to a puppet show. Afterward Carson had an X-ray of his stomach done. He has been complaining of an upset stomach periodically so we just want to make sure nothing is wrong. After a quick run to Costco Carson decided to show his Nana how candle pin bowling works.

June 28th

Carson got a new bed frame today. It looks very nice and comfy in his room!

June 27th

Ventured down to Ikea today. Of course we had to get their famous meatballs and lignon berry drink! It was super tasty!

Andrew and Carson went to see Brave today!

June 25th

Today was the final exam for summer session 1 of classes. It always seems that good songs come on when I am stressed out and worried about school. And definitely thinking of this song during the exam relieved some of my anxiety.

June 23rd

Today we hosted an end of the year party for Carson's kindergarten classmates.  The children had a ton of fun with squirt guns and other outdoor toys while the parents visited.  Right when it was time to eat, a thunderstorm came in and it started pouring rain so we all ended up crammed under the balcony until the storm passed.  Then the kids were back out with their squirt guns and us parents were back to visiting. Despite the rain it was a great afternoon with great friends and yummy food!

June 22nd

We started off today by checking out a new jumping place with friends. Carson was able to jump while I studied for a final coming up on Monday. Afterwards we went to Costco to get supplies for our huge cookout tomorrow for Carson's kindergarten class. To top the night off Mary (Aaron's mom), Jenny, and I went to go see What To Expect When You're Expecting at the military base. It was a super funny movie but I can't say it helped my nerves out any for the whole process of labor and delivery! Speaking of which T-Minus 12 weeks to this day until my due date!

June 21st

Today was the last day of my first session of summer classes.  Walking out to my car I was met with this smiley sunshine greeting.  Summer is definitely here!

June 20th

Summer blew in with a vengeance here in Boston! With the heat index we had 106 degree temps-today marks the 1st day this year that our AC had to be turned on in our house.

June 19th

Today was Carson's last day of Kindergarten. For school spirit day it was silly hair day and Carson's class also had a graduation ceremony and celebration!

Oh and Carson's Nana moved to Boston from Idaho today. It will be an adjustment for her but we are excited to be near family again.

June 18th

Today we picked up the hermit crab that Carson received at school and brought him home to his new terrarium. He has now burrowed down into his bedding so I hope this is a good sign that he is happy.

June 17th

Today we went to Walden Pond to enjoy the beautiful weather. Aaron is busy helping his mom move to Massachusetts so we have to wait to celebrate Father's Day until Wednesday when he returns home.

June 16th

Carson is getting a hermit crab from school on Monday so we bought the items for a terrarium today and got them set up in preparation for our newest little pet.

June 15th

I had to do my glucose test this morning. The drink tasted like flat sprite which wasn't bad but my system responded to the drink negatively. The sugar overload caused hot flashes, nausea, and almost led to me passing out at the lab. Luckily they took my blood and the symptoms passed. I just hope I passed the test because I do not want to repeat the test again!

June 14th

Carson's favorite book/author. The books are very silly but Carson has read through it 2 times in less than 2 weeks. Anything that gets him excited about reading I can't help but be a fan of.

June 13th

Carson joined the boy scouts today.  As an introduction the boys launched rockets!

June 12th

Today was field day at Carson's school. The morning was filled with sack races, giant Jenga, water balloon toss, and more!

June 11th

Today we visited Carson's classroom for an Author's Tea. We had tea and cookies and Carson got to show us his writings from his time in Kindergarten.

June 10th

We ventured down to Providence, RI today to take the kids to the zoo.  

We had a great lunch and a fun time outside in the beautiful weather!

June 9th

Today was the last day of soccer season.  

The cheetahs were missing one of their teammates but managed to pull off a win!

June 8th

Carson had a few friends over today to work on the hand prints going on the end of the year teacher's gift. 4 down and 14 to go!

June 7th

Today was the last day of Tennis lessons! To celebrate they had an Olympic tennis competition and Carson's team took the gold medal!

June 6th

As the school year winds down for Carson, as a room parent for his classroom it is my duty to organize end of the year teacher's gifts. We ordered these personalized bags and plan to fill them with goodies! This weekend the kids will be putting hand prints and names on the bags then I just need to go shopping for the goodies that go inside.

Carson with his friend Andrew. Andrew turned 8 today so we had cake with the birthday boy!

June 3rd

Carson spent time riding his bike today with Aaron but Aaron was unable to get a photo of Carson's new and improved bike riding skills so I get to post a picture of my studies. While the boys were out having fun I was inside all day studying for my 1st exam for my anatomy and physiology course. The 1st exam is always the most stressful!

June 2nd

Went to a science presentation at Aaron's work about radio telemetry. We were not allowed to take phones or cameras into the lab for security reasons so I had to resort to a photo of the flyer.

June 1st

Carson had a pool play-date with a classmate from school this evening!

May 31st

Carson found a new favorite book called Ook and Gluck. It is a silly book but he wants to read every free second he has which is fun to see!
