Feb 6th

We got Carson's half year progress report from school.  He is doing really great in school.  Last fall we noticed he was not enunciating some of his sounds very well though so we had a Speech Pathologist evaluate him and found out he has an extremely sensitive gag reflex.  Some letter sounds would trigger his gag reflex so he would then alter the sounds so it did not trigger his gag reflex.  His speech pathologist has been working since December to help desensitize his gag reflex and so far the change has been amazing.  He can now say sounds he was struggling with, without the worry of gagging.  And did I mention the speech pathologist was a free service from his school?!? We are so incredibly blessed to live in an amazing school district where taxes are high but residents are happy to pay their taxes knowing their hard earned money is going into programs like the one Carson is in.
