Carson got a hair cut tonight so I had to take a picture of my 2 handsome boys.

Sept 29th

Carson played soccer today then enjoyed a popsicle! Fall is here so popsicles will not be on the snack menu for too long.

Oliver is 1 week old today!

Sept 26th

The old car seat we kept from Carson was expired and not recommended for use due to safety reasons (the car seat also happened to go to our jogging stroller) so Oliver got a new car seat and matching jogging stroller!

Carson starting working on his 'best big brother' present from his Papa today!

Sept 24th

Today was Oliver's 1st doctor visit. He has lost a couple ounces but is very healthy! As you can see visiting the doctor is exhausting!

Sept 23rd

2 days after Oliver's birth and the multi tasking begins. Nursing Oliver, eating, and studying for my genetics quiz tomorrow.

Made it home from the birthing center today!

Introducing Oliver Ryan-Robert Enes!
Born Sept 21st, 2012 at 537am.
7 lbs 8.5 oz and 21 inches long
Oliver's birth was a totally natural birth! Mommy and baby are both happy and healthy!

Sept 20th

Started more intense labor today. Went into the birthing center at 1am where this rocking chair was my favorite friend (well next to Aaron). It was easy to get out of when I had to work through contractions and easy to get back into after, when I needed a rest!

Sept 19th

Tonight was Back to School Night at Carson's school. This is a parent only event where we get a chance to listen to a talk from the principal, meet the specialists, and visit with our teacher. One of the recent projects in Carson's class was called spilled milk, where the kids paint a blob of 'milk' and then interpret what their blob looks like. When we read Carson's we couldn't help but burst out laughing. He is very accurate however because his parents agree with what his blob looks like.

Sept 18th

Today was Carson's 1st day of swim lessons! I forgot to take a picture while he was in the pool so this picture is after the pool and after he had eaten a clif bar which had chocolate on it. So between the blurry picture and his chocolate face it was a bad picture!

PS-Still no baby!

Sept 17th

Tonight was Carson's first night of homework for the 1st grade. It was math homework which Carson is very strong at so he whipped right though everything.

Sept 16th

Carson at birthday party number 2 of the school year! There are already 2 more planned in the coming weeks!

Sept 15th

Today was a full day! It was Carson's 1st soccer game of the season then we had an ice cream social at Carson's school. And to top the night off we went to the Harvard Fall Festival and listened to music, ate yummy food, watched fireworks, and kept warm around a huge Bon fire! Oh and Carson got to launch bags of flour from a catapult into the dragon castle.

PS-still no baby!

Sept 14th

Today is my actual 'due date'. While contractions today are regular starting earlier in the day at 30 mins and then dropping down to 20 mins apart this evening things seem to be taking its sweet time. I went for several walks today and cleaned the house. My favorite walk was at The Minuteman Park where Carson rode his bike and Aaron and I tried to keep up.

Sept 13th

Had a new heating unit installed today because the old one had a faulty valve. The old one was 20+ years old so I hope we notice a difference in our heating bill this winter.

Also an update on the pregnancy-I am dilated to 3 cm but my contractions are still irregular. There will be lots of exercise in the coming days to hopefully move things along.

Sept 12th

Today was my 1st lab for genetics. We got to dissect Lily anthers in order to find meiocytes which are just specialized cells that undergo meiosis. I am getting good at preparing my own slides. It is too bad I don't plan on being a molecular or micro biologist.

Sept 11th

Today Carson had a playdate with a friend. They ate lunch together then joined up with a neighbor friend who was also having a playdate! So the 4 boys ended up in the woods behind our house playing things that boys do!

Today was Carson's 1st day back to gymnastics!

Homework and studying for this week is all done!

Sept 8th

Today was a busy day! We started the day with a tour of the birthing center where our little guy will be born. Then Carson had a birthday party to attend. And to top the night off we went to the movie theater to watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days.

Sept 7th

I am down to 1 week left until my due date. I am getting big and slightly tired but I really hope he stays in place until at least next Friday!

Sept 6th

After rain keeping us indoors for the last couple of days we were able to get out and play at the park. Our whole neighborhood was there so Carson had a great time!

Sept 5th

It was back to school for me today! Genetics and Biostats is on the menu for the fall semester!

Sept 2nd

Today was a clean up and organize kind of day. With Carson and I starting school in just a couple of days it is important to put things around the house in an orderly manner. But of course we couldn't stay in the house the whole day so to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather and get some exercise we played a little tennis!

Sept 1st

For the 1st day of Sept we spent the day at Plum Island playing at the beach and exploring tide pools. For dinner we found a great lobster shack! Carson is getting very good at opening his own lobster!
